DUTCH HACKING HEALTH EVENT

Hacking Health Event is an event where patients, healthcare professionals, programmers, and entrepreneurs come together in 1 of 5 locations and develop tangible healthcare solutions. Hacking Health will be held from May 19th till May21st.

On Friday May 19 you can pitch your idea and form a team. You can join as a team, or register as an individual and build a team later. During the event you conduct research regarding healthcare issues and develop a solution under the supervision of coaches. On Sunday May 21 everyone will present their ideas. The winning team will receive a prize to further develop the idea, and will be brought in contact with potential partners.

The Dutch Hacking Health is organized by several University Medical Centers in five different cities; Groningen, Leiden, Nijmegen, Maastricht, and Utrecht. Patients, healthcare professionals, creatives, developers and entrepreneurs are encouraged to register, whether you are a student or a professional.

Hacking Health was founded in 2012 and originates from Canada . Hacking Health events are organized all over the world to create solutions for relevant healthcare issues. Aside from the usual participants at hackathons like developers, entrepreneurs and designers- Hacking Health also invites healthcare professionals and patients to participate in a team.

You can register at one of five locations provided by University Medical Centers. Limited places per location are available. Some locations also have pre-events where you can get to know other participants beforehand.

Most locations are hosted in Dutch, However Radboud Universitair Medisch Centrum will hold the Health Hackaton in English. Utrechts Medisch Centrum has not yet specified in which language they will hold the event.

Cost of participation is 50,- euros for the entire weekend. Students will receive a 50% discount. Patients can participate for free. For more information and registration follow the links listed per location.
