DevGAMM is the biggest conference for game industry professionals in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. The event offers quality content about game development, low entry threshold for beginner developers as well as a series of activities meant for productive pastime and effective networking.

The conference was founded in 2008 by Lerika Mallayeva, who at the time worked as a flash animator in the indie studio. In 9 years DevGAMM has grown from local 100-person meet up to one of the leading professional events in game industry reaching over 3000 attendees from more than 30 countries in 2015.

It is a bridge between developer’s communities of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and rest of the world. On Wednesday 30 October, Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) is organising a China Business Day in Utrecht.

During this lunch seminar, we will discuss rising business opportunities in China, especially in the Chengdu area. This is a first step in strengthening ties with China, and we are interested to hear what game developers need in order to do business with China. We will speak about diverse fields (mobile, VR & serious), and possibly organising an Oriental mission in 2020.

Netcoders Meetup is for programmers who work on multiplayer games. It is organised by Ronimo together with Dutch Game Garden and Dutch Games Association.

It is a casual meetup with drinks, presentations and discussions. Ronimo will give a presentation on the server architecture behind Awesomenauts’ matchmaking and profiles.

During the Rotterdam Games Week, Dutch Games Association (DGA) will be organising DGA eXperts panel to discuss not only the trends, but also the future of our industry. The afternoon will start with a presentation by DGA on the Dutch games industry based on statistics provided by NVPI and Newzoo. For the eXperts panel itself we have invited experts from different divisions within the games industry to discuss the topics that affect us all. We will discuss the trends within the industry in areas such as serious games, VR, and eSports. After the panel there will be drinks together with EsportsX. Peter Warman

Peter is CEO and co-founder of Newzoo, an international games market research company. After being responsible for sales and business development at Europe’s largest interactive agency (LBi). He was responsible for internet development at Reed Business and operated as the commercial director on a MMO for kids. He is a frequent speaker on subjects such as ‘business aspects’ of the worldwide games industry. And that’s exactly what he will be doing on the eXperts Panel!

Paul Bierhuis

Paul is the game & art director of YipYip, a Rotterdam based app & game studio with a big focus on interactive solutions for health and education. In collaboration with various partners they develop digital interventions while keeping focus on the real life human interactions that help people learn and grow. Not only will he be happy to talk about the future of serious gaming but also the possibility and opportunities of bringing more serious games to the entertainment market. We are keen to hear Paul’s serious views on the panel!


Amon Endt

Amon is the founder and CEO of GamePoint. Since the founding of GamePoint in 1998, it has expanded its portfolio, taking a pioneering role in P2P and the social casino landscape. Roger ter Heide

Roger is entrepeneur at Improvive and developer in VR solutions. In the last few years Improvive has worked on digital projects concerning virtual reality, digital simulations, applied games, online video, mobile apps, and websites. The help to create changes in organisations, their staff, and their partners, which they do through digital and interactive storytelling. We are keen to hear the stories Roger has to tell on the eXperts panel!


Koen Bronswijk

Koen is co-founder of eSports Center Eindhoven, which opened on 18 March this year. Being relative new kids on the block they aim to be a sports club for gamers. Members can play FIFA 19, Super Smash Bros, Ultimate, Apex Legends, Rocket League, Overwatch, League of Legends, Mario Kart of course Fortnite! Koen himself loves playing PUBG and Rocket League, let’s see how well he plays with the others on the eXperts panel!


Milan Knol

Milan started as a YouTuber in 2010 and launched his first gaming channel ‘DagelijksHaaDee’ that same year. It quickly became his main channel. He participated on Legends of Gaming NL, an online games show produced by Endemol, for six seasons form 2016 to 2019. In 2018 Milan won a VEED award, an award for Dutch YouTubers, for his channel ‘DagelijksHaaDee’ in the category ‘Best Gaming Youtuber’. Let’s hope he will also get lots of likes on our panel!
