Call for participation: E-Health game developers for economic-mission Brazil
The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (Rijksdienst Voor Ondernemend Nederland) has placed a call for E-Health game developers to participate in the economic mission to Brazil. During this mission the Dutch delegation will participate in Hospitalar, the largest Healthcare event in Latin-America, and the 3rd largest in the world. The mission takes place from Monday, May 15th until Friday, May 19th. Deadline to apply is January 30th.
The Netherlands has been invited as a special guest country to participate in Hospitalar 2017, as well as the additional International Healthcare Services Congress (CISS) and the 2017 Digital Healthcare Forum (DHF17). The mission is interesting for startups who are looking for (research)partners, funding, or investors. Additionally, it is a great of opportunity for E-Health focused companies, to position themselves in the Latin-American market.
Other companies and organizations focused on healthcare are also invited to participate in the mission organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). The mission will be led by Bas van Dungen, General Director of Curative Healthcare (Curatieve Zorg), which is part of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sports (VWS).
Brazil has a population of 205 million and is therefore the largest healthcare market of Latin-America. It has the 3rd largest private healthcare market in the world, and is the world’s 7th largest economy. Brazil is facing challenges such as:
- rapid aging of the population
- increase of chronical- and lifestyle diseases
- adjustments in the healthcare system in order to make it (financially) sustainable for the future
Due to a recent change in legislation there has been an increase of (foreign) investments in hospitals, which is also expected for the home care sector. Brazil admires the Netherlands for innovative solutions which are established through public and private partnerships (PPPs).
The mission offers companies with an opportunity to get in contact with business partners and other relevant parties in Brazil and other countries from Latin-America. A few key points of the program are the following:
- collective visits and meetings with private and public hospitals, governmental and other relevant institutions
- a “poster-stand” of your organization in the Holland Pavilion on Hospitalar 2017
- Access to network events
- Individual Matchmaking
For a more detailed preliminary program go to the Netherlands Enterprise Agency website.
