WELCOME NEW MEMBERS!

The Dutch Games Association proudly welcomes five new members. We’re happy to introduce WindTales, Thalia Games, Welten Institute, Manus VR and VRee.

Wind Tales – www.windtales.net

Wind Tales makes breathing exercises fun and improves compliance. Wind Tales is active in the market for serious games and has developed an attractive game that offers patients with respiratory diseases the opportunity to perform their daily mandatory breathing exercises by playing a fun video game. A specially developed game controller registers breathing and moves the character. Time on task, respiration, lung function and compliance provide information for the user, family and caregivers.

The Welten Institute is internationally renowned for its leading role in applied game research, in particular in the design of digital games for learning and teaching. The research is multidisciplinary by nature and covers both technical, theoretical and empirical studies, with around 70 academics working in R&D and innovation. The Welten Institute is involved in many national and European projects on applied games.

Thalia Games is a game studio that creates worlds for those with imagination.Thalia Games is a start-up that mostly works in collaboration with freelancers and other small companies. Their first game is expected to be released for iOS in 2017.

Developer of the Manus VR Glove. The Manus VR Glove is a high-end data glove that brings intuitive interaction to virtual reality. VRee - www.vree.world


VRee is the developer of the VRee-platform, which makes it possible for multiple users to have a synchronized full body experience in virtual reality without latency. The platform supports multi-play, haptic feedback and live content streaming and interaction features for the spectators. The platform also supports playing in a joint virtual environment from different geographical locations. It is an open platform with SDK’s for both suppliers of Hardware HMDs, motion capture suits and peripherals, as well as SDKs for third party content suppliers (both for games and training & simulation). VRee is based in Eindhoven (the heart of the Brainport region) in The Netherlands.
