Join SAGANET & NHTV for an afternoon of experiences and discussions on Digitally Enhanced Realities – the research line of NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences’ Academy for Digital Entertainment (ADE).

ADE is one of the leading institutions in Europe in the area of digital game and media education and applied research. ADE’s excellent Bachelor’s and Master’s programs cater around 1600 students in games and media education. ADE researchers and students study how emerging technologies for digital games, VR and AR are combined for instance with geo data, big data, and simulations to create Digitally Enhanced Realities for engaging experiences that can be enjoyed and/or used for societal benefit. ADE research includes the design of prototypes, demos as well as full-blown game and media applications.

The objective of this seminar is to experience and discuss the future of game and media technology and the impact it will, may or should (not) have on entertainment and society.
• We will provide a series of snapshots of emerging game and media technologies and their applications through short presentations.
• We will open up our CRADLE R&D lab, providing plenty of opportunities to engage with the Hololens, Oculus Rift and various new games and media applications that we have been working on.
• Confirmed speakers are ADE’s three professors:
Igor Mayer, Mata Haggis, and Marnix van Gisbergen.
