Join our Japan trade event to BitSummit 2024, July 17-21

We are excited to announce a game industry trade event to Tokyo and BitSummit Kyoto 2024! Our aim is to showcase the present and future of Dutch games and games service providers to Japan and the rest of the world, and to highlight the economic, cultural and societal value of games. In addition, the goal is to establish international business connections between the Japanese and Dutch games industry. The event involves a two-day programme prior to BitSummit Kyoto with company visits, business meetups, a taste of Japanese (game) culture, and a joint Netherlands Pavilion at BitSummit Kyoto.

BitSummit Kyoto is the place to showcase yourself as an (independent) entrepreneur in the games sector. From 200 visitors in 2013 to as many as 23,700 visitors in 2023, BitSummit Kyoto is a fast-growing trade fair, with an array of (indie) game developers, publishers, and game service providers. Corporations like Nintendo, Bandai Namco and Playstation, publishers such as Shueisha Games and Phoenixx are represented there as well. In a relatively informal setting, Japanese stakeholders, games scouts and the network of service providers are easily accessible. For entrepreneurs within the games sector, it is a great opportunity to be seen by the gaming industry leaders in Japan.

The program of our trade event is planned as follows:

  • We advise you to arrive in Tokyo on July 16th. However, arrival in the morning of the 17th is also possible if you can handle a lack of sleep!
